I love having this tea on a cool fall night or a chilly wintry day. The smell makes me think of spice markets and the aroma fills my kitchen! I add some sugar but nothing more, and it's perfect!
Pros: Soothing, Unique Flavor Profile, Aromatic, High Quality
I used to buy Celestial Seasonings India Spice Chai in the bags before I bought my Keurig machine. Trying the k-cups I was skeptical at first because I usually let my tea bag steep for a few minutes to make this tea strong, but to me the k-cups are as good as the bags without the wait. I think it's even better than the Cafe Escapes Chai Latte since I can make the India Spice Chai as sweet and creamy as I want it.
Pros: Aromatic, Soothing, High Quality, Smooth Body
I got this because it was Celestial Seasonings and I've never had bad tea from them. This is good tea, but the chai flavor is not as complex as chai that I had before. The cardamom flavor is strong, and there isn't much cinnamon or nutmeg flavor. Also, the tea is slightly weak. If you want to mix it with milk and like to maintain the flavor of the tea, you will need to use a small cup size or even the iced setting if you have one. Adding some cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice helps too. It's not bad, it's just not as good as I have had in the past...
This is the tea I drink every day. It has a spicier flavor than the other chais. I brew the large size and add 4 oz. frothed nonfat milk with 3 packets of zero calorie sweetener for a 45 calorie chai latte. I would love it even more if it were stronger (it doesn't quite reach the boldness of coffee shops), and I am waiting so patiently for a decaf version for evenings.
