Good mat

Slides around a bit if used on hardwood floors and discolors slightly over time. You will need to make sure that the mat stays flat at all times. If it's bent it will stay bent for a long time. I had to put boxes on it and let it sit for a few weeks to flatten it back out again.

No problems with this mat. Used in a museum office with historic wood floors--hoping to save them by using this under my chair. Once unrolled the edges have remained flat to the floor. I'm happy and we're ordering more.

Not good for plush carpets

Chairmat works best on short pile and berber carpets. Mat is too soft to use on plush carpets...it will bend and crack in a few weeks or few months depending on the amount of weight that's on the mat.

It looks ok. It dipples under the chair. I only weigh 140 lbs and once I sit down on my chair it makes an indent in the surface of the mat. Which inturn does not allow the chair to roll easily over the surface of the mat. I will be ordering new mats soon. Big dissapointment.

It is used in a study and it is just the right thickness. My chair rolls easily on it. The Travertine marble floor can be seen through it.
