My last mat was nicer. It eventually cracked so I had to get a new one. This one is a bit too short and too thin. It's okay for the home but is not adequate for a true office.

I wanted the mat not to distract from the room as well as protect the carpet. It seems to be very sturdy and grips the carpet quite well. I am very satisfied with this product.

Would prefer completely square rather than have the cutouts at the front corners. Other than that this does the job intended.

Warranty Designed to Fool You

Bought this because it has a "limited lifetime warranty." Thought at the time of course that "lifetime" means my lifetime. When I called Staples because the mat was cracking the customer service person politely informed me that "lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the mat not my lifetime. And the mfg says the lifetime of the mat is 3 years. How convoluted is that definition? So when buying understand that "lifetime" means "3 years." I asked them to stop advertising it as a "lifetime" warranty and instead say "3 year warranty."

I've ordered several mats and received inadequate quality ones. Finally found one that looks like it will hold up.
