My old chair mat finally developed cracks and tears after about six (6)yeares of heavy use. When staples had the same mat on sale I immediatley bought a replacement.
I have a rug in my office and therefore was looking for something I can place under my chair for easier movement. The mat is not bad but my largest complaint is that it will not stay in place. That's even with my desk landing on opposite corners of it. One other thing...I've had it down for a little over a week and still it is not fully relaxed on floor therefore still causing bumps/raising of mat. If given the option to purchase again...I would pass.
I'm not sure what the problem is wih these things but when you sit in a chair with wheels such as ours the mat dimples where the chair was sitting. Over time the mat will form linear cracks from the constant rolling of the chair over the surface. This is why we had to replace the last mat.
