Office Chair Plastic Mat

The Mat serves the basic minimum requirements to provide smooth movement of the office chair and protect that carpeted area of the office. However it seems that this latest model uses thinner plastic than the previously worn out one which have been used for seven years. And the "teeth" which are supposed to grip on the carpet do not perform satisfactorily thus allowing the mat to slide slightly in various directions and curl up at its border edges. Consequently this results in stubbing one's toes and potential tripping of the user when treading in and out of the protection area. Make it stiffer like the old one!

Purchased to protect the carpet floor in a new apartment with an area rug between this mat and the carpet floor. It flattened easily and without cracking. I've used it for about a week now and it's standing up but it's hard to evaluate long-term protection and ruggedness. There was some initial indentation where the chair wheels rested on the mat which made me anxious about the mat's ability to withstand weight but it has since sprung back and settled. Store pickup was a little awkward -- as if my store didn't recieve a lot of online orders.

This is my 3rd mat they last about 3 years if used on a low pile carpet. This is a good mat and I will continue to buy based upon the price as long as they continue to last 2+ years.

Good mat and well worth the cost. I like the cleats on the bottom because they are not the sharp ones and make the mat easier to use and transport.

This mat is ok for the price. However it is of very thin plastic and mine already has big dimples in it from the office chair rollers. I don't think this mat will last for many years. The other mat I owned previously was not flexible but it was much thicker and lasted over ten years.
