What is there to say about chair mats? They are lazy! They just lay around on the carpet all day. They do not move so you have no choice but to put your chair right on top of them. At least they don't complain! Really the bottom line is it does its job. Howver the thicker your carpet and carpet pad are the more bending the chair mat does until finally it starts to break. Of course the thicker your carpet and carpet pad are the more you need the chair mat. After all it cost a lot less to replace the chair mat than it to does to replace the carpet.
Just wanted to mention that the problem of removing the labels which is mentioned in the reviews for just about every chair mat I looked at seems to have been fixed now (July 2014). We ordered 2 and both labels came off easily. Seems like Staples at least paid attention to the comments. As far as this particular product we are pleased. It seems sturdy and of appropriate thickness/strength. It arrived flat. The little cleats on the down side that keep it from moving around on our previous model were sharp and murderous - very hard to handle the mat without getting numerous stabby pokes. On this particular model the cleats are less sharp and it was easy to wrestle the mat to its destination without personal injury. Much appreciated!
