Seems like mats we bought will be fine for a good period of time and protect carpet well. Could possibly be a little firmer although my wife at 130 lbs. doesn't have any issue. ( I'm 200 lbs.)

This chair mat protects my rug from the constant back and forth motion of my chair wheels. I'm disappointed that the plastic mat forms dimples bending into the rug around the chair wheels. This causes the wheels to not move freely and at times keeps me stuck in one position. I would have preferred a thicker gauge of plastic.

would never recommend chair does not glide over as the plastic is too thin and the rollers on the chair still dig into the carpet under the plastic. I give it a big zero "0000" no stars the only reason it got 1 star is because the system does not allow me to give it a zero rating.
