It functions as excepted. The chair wheels settle into the plastic which will lead to an early death but that is typical of carpet chair mats. The grippers are better than before. They do not dig into your hands while placing or moving the mat.

I like how it is rectangular instead of having a tab cut-out. And it is nice and thick so it's easier to roll around on on my shag carpet.
