Mat is adequate but not great

I wanted a mat that is pliable and would not crack over time. I believe that this mat meets those goals and will be very durable. However the mat dents easily leaving my chair coasters sitting in a divot and making it hard to move the chair. The mat also moves on our carpet. The cleats on the bottom of the mat are not sufficient to keep the mat from moving. My carpet pile is medium (measures about 1/4 inch) but I'm wondering how much better a similar mat made for deeper pile might work.

I ordered the mat that was marked appropriate for 3/8" pile carpeting but it sits too high. This caused indentations from the chair's casters.

I was a little concerned that it would not hold up to being placed on a low pile carpet but it worked very well. My chair has four casters and I weigh approximately 175 pounds and because the vinyl is thick enough it does not appear to pose any problems punching through and making any holes.

I agree with the other reviewers - after a week there are already indentations from the chair. Okay for my purposes but if you are going to be at your desk for 8 hrs. a day giving this a lot of wear and tear you probably would want to upgrade to a more sturdy mat.
