I had hoped from reading the description that the mat would make it much easier to roll my desk chair. Instead it made it a little easier. Maybe the pile on my carpet is thicker than I judged. Still it is easier.

Another way to use Chair Mat

I read the reviews that this chair mat wasn't that sturdy for chairs but I wanted it for my cat litter. My cats can't seem to keep the litter inside the box. They manage to get it all over the rug surrounding the litter box. It occurred to me that this plastic mat would be ideal to keep the litter from getting into the rug. So for my purposes it works great. It probably would crack with my desk chair after a few months.

Staples Delivery Service is Below Par.

This chair mat was originally scheduled for delivery on Sept. 27. Not delivered because "Unable to complete before 5PM." Rescheduled for delivery on Sept. 30 Not delivered because "Unable to complete before 5PM." Rescheduled for delivery on Oct. 1. Not delivered because "Address not found." Rescheduled for delivery on Oct. 2 and was delivered. The mat was shipped with no packaging. So it was not not damaged but was not in pristine condition because it had been hauled around uncovered on the delivery van for four days. I accepted delivery because it wasn't really damaged and I really needed it but I will think long and hard before I every order from Staples again.

I really hope it lasts longer that the last one I got which was a different brand. I think that a fair review of this product should be conducted after a couple of years. Durability is the only consideration for this product and I've only had it a short while.

Flat Pile Carpet Chair Mat 36"x48"

I purchased this flat pile carpet chair mat in size 36"x48" to go beneath the computer chair in my child's bedroom. The bedroom is carpeted and the wheels on a computer chair do not move easily through carpet. This mat which is made of rubber has allowed the chair to turn and move freely. It is a clear plastic and can barely be seen on the floor. I would definitely recommend the product to anyone who needs a surface which allows a computer chair to move freely.
