Didn't last a Year

This item is cheaply made and comes folded. The folded crease is the first thing to fail and it brakes causing pieces to come out of the mat making it a trip hazard.
I find that this mat isn't nearly as good as the one that we bought about 8 years ago at Staples. It isn't as sturdy as my previous one. It is a lot thinner and leaves chair indentations when I use it. It is a disappointment the only reason I changed is because the other one had worn out really wish this one was as good as the last one. I would rather have paid more and gotten better quality. I did check all the ones they had out but none seemed to be as sturdy as my last one. Wishing in the future that they will carry a mat that is made better than the one I purchased.
This mat is exactly what I needed. This was purchased for my home office which has a very thick wool area rug under the desk. If I could have found one that was a little longer that would have been better... but this protects my rug where it has to be protected and allows my chair to roll smoothly. It stays in place and is almost transparent... ok you can tell it is there... but it isn't ugly or awful. So this is a great mat and a great purchase. Thanks Staples for stocking this mat. It has saved my area rug.
I chose this mat for the shape. As I shopped for different one I like how this went under the desk to avoid the chair wheels getting caught all the time as you move in and out. I gave it a 3 because it doesn't do as well as I thought with padding under my very low pile carpet. If I didn't have the padding it would be a lot better. It has a 1 year warranty so if if wears prematurely they will replace it. Other mats were rectangle and these are better if you don't put your chair all the way under the desk. There are better one's with a lifetime warranty there but for my purpose it is doing fine.
I was skeptical; because we had an employee rearrange his office (linoleum tile flooring) and where his desk was the floor had not been cleaned stripped and polished - as the rest of the office was done several months ago. There was a HUGE difference in not just the appearance but also we couldn't get the dirt up from where his desk was. I was afraid the mat would not just cover the dirt it would grind it all into the floor making it impossible to ever get clean. Plus ruin the mat in the mean-time. However mat/dirt/floor.... all is well and holding up just fine. I'm quite impressed
Two years ago I bought a Staples low pile mat for my home use. It began to come apart this spring so I replaced it with this medium pile model primarily because it is thicker and will hopefully last longer. It seems to be a heaver duty productand has performed well so far. I guess time will tell how durable it will be. So far so good.
I have berber carpet on a pad in my home office and this is the product specifically identified for the total thickness of my carpet /pad combo. It does not slide nor has it done any damage to my carpet after 4 months of use however it is so rubbery and soft that the hard castors of my desk chair depress the pad over 3/8" and my chair is essentially "stuck" and I have to forcibly roll it out of the depressions. I am very disappointed especially for the money I spent - I really should have returned it but thought perhaps I was just in a bad mood when I first judged it but now months later I should have trusted my gut - by the way I am very happy right now but still hate this product.
