Instead of rolling it up the mat was folded and packed in a flat box. The crease from the fold is still there after nearly 2 months of pressing it down. The reason I didn't return it is that I needed something and thought that the crease would iron out in time. NOT the case.
Standard chairmat for heavy use. I've yet to experience a problem with it. But I'm also waiting to see if it gets the fissures that the other one got because the chair rollers would gouge tracks which would then split apart.
It's a bit thin so my chair creates dents which make it difficult move around. I shopped extensively and chose this more expensive mat because it appeared to be thicker. My carpet has a very low pile but I wouldn't recommend this mat for anything but a tight berber or indoor/outdoor carpet. For what it's worth i was delivered folded with no tape. A few hours in the sun made it flatten out. It works somewhat but I'm not expecting it to last long. Next time I guess I'll have spend over $100 to get a proper chair mat.
Unfortunately I am disappointed because it does not grip the carpet and every few days it has “crawled” out of place and I have to ease it back into place. I don’t know if there is a solution for this.
