I purchased this pad for low pile carpet but it has a foam pad under it. Sitting on it with a chair leaves large dents in it. If you have a pad under your carpet I wouldn't do it. But if you have low pile carpet glued to the floor it probably will work. Actually it was better than I had The old one was cracked so bad that I was tripping on it so it is an upgrade

Terrible quality too soft so gets indentations

Terrible quality as the material is too soft and it develops indentations where the chair sits the most. Have another mat that is the same thickness that was bought from Staples around 5 years ago that doesn't have this problem so they obviously changed something.

Does the job. The mat is very pliable which means it will bend and not crack however the chair wheels do indent while sitting on it which keeps the chair from easily rolling around as it wants to roll back into the indentations that you created while sitting still.

It's a great mat but I wish it had some little rubber things or something on it to hold it still because it doesn't stay in place and slides all over.
