It's functional but too thin for the rug I have. I measured the pile of the rug and matched it to the specs for the mat but it's a bit too thin to keep the desk chair from forming depressions and settling.
This is very soft and floppy. My chair sinks and makes it very hard to move. Every day at least twice I have to scoot my chair back and reposition the mat it moves around a lot. I have over the years had multiple mats from Staples for the two desks but this by far is the worst. I am using it on low pile carpet. I guess it would be ok on tile or linoleum.
Replaced for the first time in 20 years my first Staples floor mat and… it’s ideal just as the first one was. This is a tad smaller but actually that ’s better for my situation. Good product and it will indeed LAST!
This chair mat was not strong enough bear the weight of my wheeled desk chair. Indentations developed immediately Moving the chair across its surface is possible but difficult and annoying.
his mat is unacceptable as it is a soft vinyl and chair creates "divots" in the mat making it difficult to manuever the chair around. This is totally opposite as the old "hard" chair mat constructed of heavy plastic which allowed ease of manueverability.
