This mat is just fine It takes a lot of "chair rolling" walking on and stacking things on and is holding up well. I doubt I will need to purchase another in the near future but when I do hope to have the same mat. Possibly a pricier mat is even better but why spend more to find out?

WE USE THE MAT AT LEAST MINIMUM OF 8 HOURS DAILY. WORE THE FIRST ONE OUT AFTER APPOXIMATELY 6 YEARS. MAT REALLY SAVES THE CARPET AND ALLOWS FOR EASY GLIDING OF THE CHAIR.

OK Could Be Thicker

Dosn't last as long. Wheels wear in and it starts cracking apart.

Not stiff enough for plush carpet

Not really stiff and thick enough for a normal mid-thickness pile carpet. Might be OK on berber or really short pile. If you have a mid to thick pile carpet get the thicker one. Better than the thinner ones but still not enough.

Worked well after I cut off the tongue that would be on a wood floor. Doesn't move on the carpet.

Perfect for laminate flooring

Regardless of where you look the selection of chair mats for hard floors is very limited. Nonetheless this model is good for the price. Admittedly a rectangular (no tongue) model would be more preferred. However I found cost goes up substantially with size and shape. This is good for average sized rolling office chair.
