Works OK on basement concrete floor

My concrete floor is not a smooth surface. The floor mat seems to cover the "blemishes".

This mat is flexible enough to be moved into place easily and is easy on the feet. On the other hand it's firm enough to be a good surface under my chair even over very plush carpet. (Carpet with double pads underneath.)

Slid on carpeted floor during first few days but has stayed in place since. Makes more sense to buy this and replace a little sooner than the expensive mats. Kept my last mat for 10 years; plan to do the same with this one!

Not suitable for the home office

Advertized for high pile carpet but totally unsuitable for my home office that has 1/2" pile carpet plus underpad. The chair wheels create craters in the mat that the chair persists in rolling back into when you try to move the chair a small distance. I purchased another pad from another store that is much heavier but still craters under the wheels but to a lesser degree. I use a standard 5 wheel office chair and I weigh in at 170 lbs.

ordinary plastic runner. The good part is that it was free. the bad part is we have mostly hardwood floors and it needs to be on a rug.

economical mat

We have this on indoor-outdoor carpeting and it does not have the sharp prongs. They are more flat and work well on this type of carpeting.
