Basic carpet protection

This is used at my mother' house in her carpeted office. It keeps the chair wheels from imbedding into the carpet fibers and leaving marks.

It is really for thinner carpet. I don't have a high pike carpet but apparently thicker than for what this mat is intended. It will lift on the edges when my chair gets rolled close to the outside edges due to the thickness of the carpet and the fact that the mat isn't as thick as it would need to be for more sturdiness.

They do not hold up[ very well. The one I replaced only lasted a bit over a year and then it began to crack up/ I was not able to find the better quality one.
