I replaced an old carpet/chair mat with one of the newer technology ones. It fits perfectly under my desk and chair area. It works just as needed to glide my chair and protect my carpeting.

Too flexible

This is a replacement mat and while it is the correct size it bends too much under the weight of the chair leading to "dips" in the mat. It also tends to move from its position on the carpet. I think it is not as thick as the original. In any case it does not work as expected.

We have very low-pile carpets in the office. This mat tends to slide a little every day as the chair is moved back and forth so every week I move the chair and pull the mat back into place. I will order a larger size mat next time to fill the space better. Hoping this will solve the problem. Also this mat was not delivered in a box it just had a shipping label stuck onto the mat itself. Therefore the mat had some scuff marks on it...no big deal but if it had been boxed it probably would have arrived in better condition. The label came off very easily but it was an unusual way to recieve it. The chairmats used to come in a large box so that it would be flat on arrival. This one was a but curled on arrival-it did flatten out in a couple days.

The "cleats" that are supposed to hold the mat in place do not. I have to constantly move my chair off of the mat to move the mat back to its regular place. I'm sorry I didn't get a mat with the sharp pins instead. Maybe it would have worked better.

I ordered this because my deck chair with rollers was tearing up the carpeting. I ordered this in the evening and it was delivered at 8:30 AM the next morning. It was slightly warped but flattened out quickly. I had no problems taking the sticker off. It works great. Not only is it protecting the carpeting but it makes it so much easier to roll the chair. I am thinking about getting another one to put under my son's video gaming chair for the same reason.
