I am glad to have found the size I sought in a chair mat but the grips on its underside do not hold its position as securely as the mat I had before.

Expensive and won't stay in place

Mat is described as "for medium pile carpet" but the anchoring spikes are not aggressive enough to hold it in place. Almost seems like they changed the sharpness and length of the anchoring spikes for safety reasons but in doing so reduced the effectiveness of the anchors. Doubt this mat would stay put on ANY length of carpet. Other than that the mat is well made and looks okay. But not worth $80.

does a great job protecting carpet

This mat is quite thick and is great at protecting our carpet. We have tried mats available off the shelf and those were relatively thin resulting in carpet damage. The casters on the office chair would sink making rolling a challenge. This mat is much heavier and is better at holding its shape.

The mat has 2 stickers on the mat that will not come off! I guess it was part of the shipping process. It's horrible! I will have to use a chemical to get it off!
