Jams every other time

I am so disappointed in this shredder. Barely shreds 6 pages at a time let alone 10. Constantly jams. Incredibly loud - just a disaster. I called support but nothing changed. Would not purchase again and wish I had this review before even considering the Fellowes shredder.

Hi unhappy211. We are sorry your unit is not working as it should be. It appears you called regarding a run on issue - which was resolved by cleaning the auto sensors. All cross-cut shredders require oil for peak performance. If not oiled, a machine may experience diminished sheet capacity, intrusive noise when shredding and could ultimately stop running. To avoid these problems, we recommend you oil your shredder each time you empty your waste bin (i.e. Fellowes oil #35250). This should resolve the issue you are having, but if it does not, please call customer service once again. We would value an opportunity to assist you in resolving this matter! We are here to help!

Best Peper Shredder at Reasonable Price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best shredder at reasonable price. It provides the most security against documents theft as it shreds in micro size that nobody can access the information. I had to replace the same one as the one of the wheels of the stand found broken but I had the Asurion extended warranty, so I got all my purchased price back and I purchased the same model 60 MC CRC 49210 again. It's a very compact machine and takes extraordinarily little space. Durable and very efficient.

Easy to use--so far great!!!!

Detailed instructions, easy to use. Micro cutting the best. Very quiet! To empty basket is easy, Smooth removal, do not have to pull hard to remove basket.

Keeps Jamming

Not sure why it says its for 10 pages. I tried 10 and jammed, then 8, 6 and so on. I was ONLY doing 3 pages and it still kept jamming. I had to do one by one and fold the paper in half.

Hi aidastar. We are sorry this is happening! If you have not oiled the blades with liquid shredder oil yet, please do so (Fellowes # 35250). All cross-cut/micro-cut shredders require oil for peak performance. If not oiled, a machine may experience diminished sheet capacity, intrusive noise when shredding and could ultimately stop running. To avoid these problems, we recommend you oil your shredder each time you empty your waste bin. If you continue to have problems, please call customer service for assistance and be by the unit when you call. We would be happy to help!

We've only had for one day, but am quite impressed with the shredder. I had quite a bit to shred and the machine is very easy to use and performs so much better than our old shredder. Happy we purchased.the Fellows Powershred 60MC.
