I purchased this cartridge because it states it’s compatible with many HP printers (including the Envy 5530 the printer I have) and it’s recycled. My printer rejected this cartridge and would not allow me to override the error message. Since Staples does not accept opened ink cartridges I’m out the cost of the cartridge. Rated one start since it says it’s compatible but is not.

I used the Tru Red color ink cartridge as a replacement for the first time in order to save a little money. It works great! The hardest part of the process was disabling HP's cartridge protection system but once I had done that it was smooth sailing. I look forward to using Tru Red cartridges and the savings they bring from now on. The quality of the printing is just as good as HP ink!

While I have only purchased one Tru Red ink cartridge so far I definitely am pleased with the less expensive price tag of the Tru Red cartridges compared to the HP cartridges. I will reserve a 5-star rating until I know for sure that it works on my printer as I have not actually tried it yet.

Have used the "Tru Red" remanufactured units with success. However lately one black cartridge did NOTHING! Replaced with genuine HP and black worked fine. Tried a second time: NO PRINT.

These cartridges are almost as good as the HP cartridges. They are priced right for home use and in this pandemic it is good to save money even on the Home office supplies.
