I bought a TRU RED INK cartridge as a back up. I thought that because Staples sold it on their web site it would work. After three weeks in my printer the ink was coming out smeared with some of the letters missing. It was totally unreadable. This is junk. I went up to Staples anbought a new onethe new HP INK CARTRIDGE which was more expensive but it worked.

Stick to the real thing

Sadly I have had problems with both black and color cartridges; they work for a while and then stop. Staples has replaced them each time however they still don't work like the HP originals. In the future I'll pay a little more and get the higher quality.

I use the true red as it is cheaper. My printer recognizes it so there is never a problem. I do not see any difference between new cartridges and remanufactured in this brand.
