HAD TO REWASH EVERYTHING WITH ANOTHER BRAND.
ROTTEN, DISGUSTING FISH. ENTIRE LOADS STINK LIKE ROTTEN FISH. (NOT JUST FISH. ! ROTTEN FISH ! SUPER GROSS. HAVE TO REWASH EVERYTHING. Expensive, disgusting product.

We're sorry to hear this and can explain what you might be experiencing. Laundry detergent cannot cause bad smells. If a fresh load of laundry comes out smelling badly, it is coming from the washing machine. With an HE machine, keep the door open between uses to allow the washer to air out. For front loading washers require special low sudsing detergents, like Tide HE, using regular detergent will cause excessive suds, which carry the bacteria all over the washer and allow it to deposit and settle all around the wash drum. Above average water hardnesss may also contribute to mold or mildew odors.
When a washing machine starts to smell, use Tide Washing Machine Cleaner to remove residue and eliminate any bacteria; monthly clean-outs with Tide Washing Machine Cleaner, helps keep odor-causing residues from causing odor problems down the road. Be sure to consult the owner's manual or the manufacturer's website for clean-out instructions. Smells of fish

I went on this website to see if other he try e same experience with the smell . I usually buy original liquid tide or powder and have never come across this and have always been satisfied. I see I am not the only one and would not re-purchase this particular product

Love Tide, but new scent is nauseating

I usually use the Original Scent Tide, which i love. On a whim, I got the Spring Meadow scent and was immediately blown away by the stench of what I describe smells like rancid raw oysters with undertones of sweet chemical gag. It's not my machine, as the stench came directly from the container. I've never felt literal nausea from the scent of detergent, but...yikes.

Based on the symptoms you described, we recommend discontinuing the use of the pods if you haven't already done so. Please hold onto the product for a few weeks, in case our team needs any additional information. To remove the scent from your clothes, wash them again with the hottest water safe for the fabric, using the recommended amount of detergent. If the items are bleach-safe, use a detergent that contains bleaching agents while washing.

Chemical smell

Our laundry has a strong chemical smell after using these pods. We didn’t know what was causing the smell initially, but after rewashing our laundry with a different detergent and then using these pods later on new laundry and reading other reviews, it’s clear this is caused by the pods. We are wasting money on pods, time and money on the re-washes. We have been lifelong Tide customers, very disappointing.

Smells like fish

I’ve tried adding Lysol rinse, oxygen booster, etc; in hopes of salvaging these pods. They stink so bad. Previous reviews show the manufacturer is aware of this. It’s not my washer, and I’m a competent adult who has been washing clothing for years. Please do not offer a condescending excuse for a lack of quality control.

I have been using Tide all my adult life. My family has always loved the smell of our clothes. The last few years the smell has changed. We are all changing our detergent. The smell is offensive. I have tried pods and other tide sense and they are all bad.

Worst fragrance ever

I have used Tide pods for years and have been very happy with them however the Spring Meadow fragrance is terrible, I gag going into the laundry room while washing. My daughter and I actually fought over who had to use them! Unfortunately I bought a large box so I'm stuck with them.

Gets EVERYTHING clean ON COLD incl rugs

This stuff is unbelievably good!
I used to think that I had to wash on hot-hot. As hot as possible...
Instead, I found out that if I wash on cold with this stuff, all gets wayyyyy cleaner.

I do use a front loader at my son's place. A big one. And I can run it for 1 hour or more with extra water.
I do a ton of laundry because I run an Airbnb. The laundry never stops.
Additionally, I found out that EVEN the long runners with rubber under mat, can be put in the front loader and come out looking like new. I don't have to toss them anymore once they begin to look dirty. Even heavy stains come out.
I am totally hooked on it. And very surprised how well it works.
The key is may be: the combi of time (longer than 30 min) and extra water choice, and then this Pod 3in1. Whatever. It works super good. Better than any detergent I ever used and I am a clean freak.
