This is a nice mat and it arrived flat. It's shiny and thus stays looking new longer. It doesn't move around on the carpet when I move my chair. I like it a lot.

The product description states that this mat is designed for high pile carpets but it did not stay in place and moved around quite a bit as the chair moved. I ended up returning the product.
