They are difficult to roll on. Yes I do have short-worn-down pile and didn't want to spend any more than I did. However being a secretary all my life I do know that heavier/thicker chair pads were available. These were super for rolling any size office chair.

Chair and pad arrived as promised. Reasonably easy assembly. Chair itself is a bit stiff/firm but that is probably because of newness. Looks good in office. Still getting used to it but overall am very pleased.

This mat is my second desk chair mat in about 6 0r 7 years! That's how long the last one served it's purpose in protecting my carpeting from the daily use of my desk chair rolling back and forth on it.

This replaced an old and thicker chair mat that developed holes. It fit neatly up to and under my desk and my chair rolls easily on it. I like that it's thinner and yet still provides the same smooth ride the older and thicker one did before it started to fall apart. I expect it will last many years as the old one did.
