The size of the mat is adequate but the vinyl surface is a bit too soft. I weigh just a little over 200 pounds but the chair casters dig into the mat and create little indentations making it somewhat difficult to move the chair around smoothly needing to rock back and forth in the chair to move the casters out of the indentations.

This mat needs another mat the same thickness to make it usable. Just too thin for my chair and me to be on it at the same time. When I try to move around on the mat I have to get it out of the 5 chair rollers out of its divit.

For years couldn't talk my wife into using a chair mat and I smiled each time she labored to move her chair around at her desk. Recently we moved her office to a different location and I bought this low-priced good quality chair mat and put it at her desk. She rolls beautifully and thanks me profusely. Good construction with just enough flexibility. Not too thick and she can still see the carpet!

It works as advertised. But it is quite thin so there are temporary indentations where the chair leg or my footstep was. I don't think it hurts anything in the short term but it looks weird.
