I use around 500 of these envelopes a year to mail items all over the US - no issues with failing to stay closed or tearing from postal sorting equipment or anything else. The price is right the quantity packaging is convenient and they work with no issues. I also use these glued to the backs of framed photos and prints to hold 5 x 8 cards with descriptive info about the item(s) in the display. That keeps the necessary info handy without having the place look like a museum with visible labels.

Great for Disguising Greeting Cards!

I use these to disguise greeting and birthday cards from unethical people. Sometimes the card doesn't get there at all because someone thinks there is money a check or other valuables tucked inside the card. When I disguise my card by placing it inside these envelopes the card always get to the intended recipient and there are no brads to get hung up in postal sorting equipment.

These envelopes are wonderful for mailing half-folds. Because they are lightweight we were able to keep our postage cost low: with several pages we were still under 1 ounce.
