BRB works in a trash bag holding can

I have an automatic closing kitchen trash can. A plastic bag is required to keep the removable plastic hard liner clean. It is difficult to hold the bag in place while trying to pull the straps tight while trying to put the inner liner w/bag into the outer can. This can take over 10 minutes. Putting the BRB around the outside of the inner liner makes it easy to fold around the rim and fit into the outer can. So far I have used the same rubber band about 4 times. I may have a lifetime supply.

Perfect size but they disintegrate much too quickly. We would like to find better quality in perhaps a different type of band in that same size.
