New Fragrance is a Flop

I just bought the 50 oz refill aquarium series not knowing Softsoap has changed the fragrance! (Apparently this happened some time ago, but I just ran out of the other I bought.) So disappointed! The previous kind had a unique fresh, clean fragrance that I liked better than any other soap brand. This new fragrance smells like cucumber. I'll be returning it this week. Sorry Softsoap-I loved the original kind, and this new one probably cleans just as good, but I don't like how it smells. Please consider bringing back the original.

Still smells horrid.

Still not bringing back the Original Aquarium scent?! I was also a loyal 20+ year user of the Original Aquarium soft soap. When I contacted the company a few years ago about the change they told me everyone loves the new scent and it was requested to be made to smell stronger. Well, everyone does NOT love the new scent. Is it that hard to make both? From the amount of negative complaints here, I suspect you’d still habe enough buyers to make a profit. Anyhow - new stuff still stinks something fierce with a sharp chemical aftersmell. It’s just gross.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I guess the new version has finally reached the West coast. I bought my usual Softsoap Aquarium refill without thinking that I would have to check the fine print to see if it now contained fragrance - surprise! There was no mention of the change on the front. I use it in the kitchen and am not looking to have and competing fragrance when I'm cooking. (Flowers, fruit, AND onions!) I want a reliable, functioning product, not a jarring "experience". Really I want a non-experience: It should just work and keep quiet about it. The company that produces that product will get my business.

Been using this for as long as i can remember, prob like 15-20 years, we all just called it "the fish soap" no other hand soap competed. Then same story i see 1000 times in reviews everywhere now, bought a new refill bottle and i thought it was a bad batch, bought another one from a different store, still this new terrible smell and formula. Go back to what it was, no change needed to be made, youre literally losing so many customers, its not worth it.

Needed soap, but all I got was water

I've been using this soap for over a decade and absolutely loved it up until recently. The last two times I've purchased it, the soap has been awful. Smells terrible, barely even lathers, dries out my skin, and is so unbelievably runny that it's essentially bad-smelling water. What happened???

Been using soft soap and it's refills in my restrooms for years. All of a sudden, the last 2 large refill bottles I purchased have been watery and don't lather. It seems as if you all have started putting water in the formula to make it stretch. It's not acceptable.
Cons: Difficult To Use, Dries Skin, Poor Lather
