New formula dangerous to people sensitive to scent

Please bring the old formula back. I have sensitive skin and have been using soft soap aquarium since I was a little girl, it’s only soap that doesn’t make my skin break out. However now that the formula has a strong scent added, It gave me a rash. Now I’m desperately looking in second hand stores where they may still have the old ones in stock. It looks like other people agree, it was better before.

Softsoap Aquarium - Unpleasant New Scent

Our family has used Softsoap Aquarium Liquid Hand Soap for many years because the unique scent was so clean, light and subtle. Were shocked to find that the fragrance has been changed, and it now has a very different scent that is strong, unpleasant scent. And that scent lingers!
We're not sure why the company would change such a pleasant and unique fragrance.

It seems like a true "New Coke" decision!
By the way, we haven't found any other suitable fragrance in the current Softsoap collection.

Ruined a great product

They changed the scent and it smells like very strong, terrible perfume. It dries the skin out and it's very hard to wash off. You have to scrub and scrub and scrub to get the scent off and not leave soap residue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New awful fragrance

I just bought a refill bottle to refill my old pump and I had to stop when I noticed the awful new smell. I even tried to look at different scents that I used to like Crisp clean, but they too smell awful. It's such a bummer because I'm very sensitive to smells and these new ones are just not good.

The new Aquarium scent is disgusting. I have returned the bottle with the new scent and won’t be buying Soft Soap Aquarium anymore.

New formula is terrible. Smells awful.

I have been using this soap for over 20 years. It’s light, easy on skin, and well liked. I recently got a new refill that had “new fragrance” labels on the bottle. It was terrible. It has a sweet, candy like scent. I returned it and will not longer buy unless the original scent is brought back. You lost a 20 plus year customer. Please bring the original back.

Disappointed in scent change

Only rating 1 star because of the scent change that has been made to the original formula.I have been using this soap for years, and am always willing to pay extra for it over store brand. The new scent smells like cheap, almost like a perfume berry smell. I don’t know if this is because of supply chain issues in accessing the formula for the original scent, a move to save money, or both. I’m extremely disappointed in this change and hope this feedback, as well as feedback from other longtime customers, is considered.

Please bring back the original scent!

The new scent is just awful. I had been buying the aquarium soap for 15 years. It was the only soap I’d buy because of its clean scent that didn’t trigger my sensitivity to smell. The original aquarium designs were also so cute. I simply cannot use the new fragrance - it is so strong, sweet, and perfume-y. The scent lingers on your hands and gives me a headache. Soooo disappointed that you changed what WAS the best hand soap out there. Please bring back the original scent for your once loyal customers!
