Sturdy and earth-friendly notebooks!

These notebooks with recycled materials used as covers are fantastic! They hold up through the school year and offer a student a way to be earth-conscious in choosing school supplies. Terrific value!

One Tough Notebook

I had no idea this notebook would be so sturdy. This is not your regular notebook. The cover is hard compressed paperboard and thus feel more like a hard bound book. I love it! Where most of my notebooks are totally shot after a semester this notebook will go the distance through the entire year. And I really like the paper. The paper is lined with tan/brown lines and I have found more relaxing on the eye when writing for 3 hours on end like most of my classes are. Overall really thrilled this purchase turned out so well. Total plus it's kind to our environment. Win Win.

I "journal" a lot and prefer the standard-size notebook. Normally the covers are flimsy and look terrible before I'm through writing in them. I travel a lot and my journals are terribly abused. These Stables Sustainable Earth notebooks are sturdy and make it through anything I can put it through. Currently I am living in Death Valley and the nearest Staples store is over 120 mi. so I was very pleased to find it online. Thank you Staples!

Nice feel but not fountain pen friendly like most say.

I got this because of the many reviews floating around online saying the paper is fountain pen friendly. Maybe there is an older version or something but everything I put on this paper bleeds and feathers and I mean everything. Even Noolder's x-feather and that thing isnt suppose to feather on anything and it hasn't on other papers I have until I tried this paper. The paper itself feels very smooth I gave it 4 stars because If you aren't a fountain pen user I am sure these notebooks are great. They feel sturdy and well built otherwise.
