I'm using this to hold all my external hard drives (I have 5) and my dock. I needed something open for ventilation where wires could go through. The top part is a wonderful perk because I can put my glasses markers files etc up there and hang my iPhone in it's holster off the wire frame. This is a well-built solid tray and it looks nice. The trays glide well too.
