I have not been able to get the printer to reckognize the cartridge as a new cartridge therefore I have to put up with the out of ink message even though It prints fine

Printer would not recognize the cartridge

I installed the new color cartridge and the printer would not recognize it. I tried reinstalling it several times with no luck. Even though I was only trying to print in black and white the printer would not function with the re-manufactured cartridge installed. I returned it to my local Staples and bought the Canon brand ink instead.
