Personally I believe that chair mats are all overpriced. Not just at Staples but everywhere. Having said that this mat is good quality and is working well protecting our carpet.

Density Isn't Great

Does the job but not as sturdy as I had expected. A higher gauge of plastic might be the right level as I am finding it has impressions already and it is very low carpet rugs. Better luck next time.

This mat is not as thick or sturdy as the previous one I had also from Staples. The chair rollers sink in and do not move easily

It's too soft

My chair is leaving dents in the mat. My previous mat didn't have this problem it just got old hard and started cracking and needed to be replaced. This mat also tends to move even on carpet where it shouldn't move. I like the size but just doesn't seems as good of quality.
