[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow this Staples 15 Sheet Cross Cut Shredder is a monster. This is a heavy duty shredder. It has a huge slide out bin that makes emptying a breeze. No need to lift off the heavy top just slide out the front and dump. There is a slide top to close when not in use to keep it from collecting dust or having unwanted items fall in. The shredding power is amazing. Up to 15 sheets all at once staples included instantly. It also easily shreds credit cards and cd's. This is so heavy duty it even came with wheels. I'm currently not using the wheels as I'm not moving it around. If you want a shredder that can stand up to a busy home office this one is for you!!

Top Heavy and Tips Over

Due to the way that the shredder box is shaped it's very top-heavy and easily tips over. When it tips over the top crashes off and the mechanisms are exposed. We did not keep due to safety concerns with young kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Staples 12 Sheet Cross Cut Shredder is a decent shredder for the home. It is a good size for a small home office area. It completely shreds up to 12 sheets at a time with ease. The bin is a good size for infrequent use and is easy to dump. It isn't very loud at all. The downside is that it can only run for about 7 minutes and then needs a 30 minute cool down. I found this to be a bit of a nuisance as I tend to let paperwork build up a little before I shred it.

Perfect for Nesting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could not have received this at a better time at 36 weeks pregnant and in full on nesting mode! One of my nesting to-do's was to go through both of our filing cabinets and re-organize all our paperwork that I had not gone through in the 7 years we have lived in our home. Having this shredder was a game changer as I went through medical records bills and other confidential papers that needed to be shredded before throwing out. I kept the shredder next to my desk in my home office and I loved how compact it was and how little space it occupied. The bin capacity was perfect; I did not have to empty it until I was all done going through both of my cabinets. The shred size was perfect it wasn't too loud and it was super simple to use. All I had to do was plug it in and slide open the lid for it to be ready to shred. I liked that I could also easily shred credit cards as well. Overall this shredder is perfect for my needs as I won't be regularly using it but using it as needed.
