Shredder is quite and so far reliable. The only possible issue would be that sometimes the auto basket is full gets confused and we need to reset the shredder by unplugging and repluggjng to reset it!

I like my new shredder very much. I like that it shredds in tiny pieces. I would recommend the Staples 15-Sheet Cross-Cut Multi-Media Shredder (ST62154). And the staff were very helpful at the Venice CA Staples store.

This shredder is terrible. This is the first Staples product I could NOT recommend. I should have returned it. It came today in a box that looked a bit like it was a repack. It seemed ok out of the box. I started using it to shred about 1 and 3/4 reems of paper. I did it in the garage and it kept overheating and shutting down. Then instead of cross cuts it was mostly strips. I had to keep cleaning the cutters as they would wrap around the unit and jam it. I finally used a long box cutter to cut the wrapped strips. Do yourself a favor buy a better unit. It took all day to do the amount I did.
