Broke after 3 months with just medium to light usage

I initially could not get it to work. I doesn't seem like it should be hard. But could not get the light to come on to say it's ready. Noticed the catch basket didn't seem to be set properly but try and try it would not work and would not seat the catch basket properly. Several people came around to help and give it a try. Lot's of fussing and they all tried their solution(s). I gave up and walked away ready to return it. Then someone made it work. We will see if the same problem occurs when the catch bucket is emptied the first time.
What makes this shredder an outstanding purchase is Staples’s fantastic product support. Our first iteration of the shredder was noisy - it sounded like a jet plane taking off. After a week I called Staples Product Support. I got a real person immediately - not an awful voice response or AI system. I told the associate my problem. She asked for some information and told me what information that she needed. I sent it promptly. And then what was unbelievable was that a replacement shredder arrived the next day. It has been a long time since I have had such service. The replacement is quieter (not quiet) shreds well and has worked flawlessly thus far. It is a great value for an 8-sheet shredder. It has a year warranty.
Brand new out of the box. Shredded a few sheets of paper and then it just quit. won't feed. Did all the trouble shooting possible (there isn't much because it's a simple machine). Will be returning. I'm open to an exchange we'll see
