After ruining one wood floor with my wheeled desk chair I moved my computer to another room. I did not want the same thing happening to this floor so I put down a piece of cardboard. That worked for a while but I really needed something that would protect my floor yet look nice. The floor mat came in light wood color and dark wood color; I chose the light wood color. Although it is not a match for my floor it complements the wood and most importantly is protecting it from further wheel damage.
I HATE the clear plastic chair pads. They quickly discolor scratch and trap dust and debris. This is perfect. It not only protects my hardwood floors but complements them looking much more attractive than the translucent protectors. While not the cheapest pad it is definitely worth the money. We've had it for about 3 months and it still looks good. It stays in place and the chair can still easily roll over it. We will be buying a second one for my husband's office. Highly recommend this product!
I had bought a rug to go under our office chair. We had recently put down laminate flooring and it looked as if the chair was scuffing the surface. The rug was cumbersome and kept bunching up. I was in Staples to use my rewards and had planned to buy batteries and coffee. Then I saw this mat. It was on sale and I had a coupon too! I wasn't sure of the color but picked one of the lighter ones. We're very happy with the rug. Our chair rolls easily. The mat can be easily wiped clean if needed and our flooring is being protected! Plus it looks great!
When I 1st put it down I was not sure that it would lie flat as it comes rolled up. However after a day or two it lies flat and in fact blends well with the oak flooring that I want to protect.
This is a good attractive chair mat. It goes well with my desk/chair and flooring. I would recommend this to anyone setting up a home office or den/study area. It provides good movement of the chair almost being too slick but coordinates well with my decor.
i have an office chair and it doesnt roll on this mat. i have to shift all my weight to get the chair to move. i would not recommend this to anyone. i was wondering why some of these mats cost $100 considering they are just a piece of plastic. i guess you get what you pay for.
