Saves the kitchen floor!

Great to put in the kitchen if you have a desk there. No pointy nubs to scrap floor up or stuck in floor. Doesn't move once it been down a few days with you sitting in the chair on it. It's a big one so make sure you can fit it in the area and it not in the way to cause a tripping hazard in main traffic areas. It's very flat and seems to be one with the floor now that we have had it for a while too. It's not a thick mat at all and if you need to cut it a flat surface is best with a saw of some kind. This isn't going to be a scissor hacking job by no means. You will need to sand down the edge u make to keep it flat as possible. Hope this helps you guys.

The Staples® Laminate Chair Mat for Hard Floors Chestnut is perfect for me. It really matches my floor and it so much better than the clear one I had. There was always dirt getting under the clear one making it difficult to keep clean.

The chairmat does the job for which it was purchased. It stays in place and prevents chair scratching or wearing floor.

Though I don't use it as a chair mat this mat works great on my wood floor to cushion the impact of the weight of my refrigerator. This is the 3rd one I have gotten and it compliments my floor very nicely
