Not as good as my old one

I bought this a few weeks ago when I lost my old one. I'm very glad I found the old one. The new one is not nearly as easy to use - the release requires both hands and the fabric part of the old one makes it more flexible and comfortable in use.

It’s nice but not what I was expecting. The Ecco “leather” they use doesn’t look/feel (or even smell) like actual leather. It’s so heavily processed and coated it might as well be plastic. And it’s very stiff. Otherwise the strap works fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a few weeks ago and I can say that the cuff in leather is better than I expected. I have quite a few other peak design products and this is definitely on par with the rest of them. The leather feels premium and definitely quality and real. Seems a bit expensive at full retail, but that's the price to pay for real leather and peak design quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful looking, classy stuff. No contest on that.
Then again that metallic clasp is a nuisance.
- In transport, I can get pressed against the camera body or worse - the screen. And it's sharp and hard enough to do damage.
- It doesn’t lock. So if you just let your camera hang, it becomes a tourniquet for your wrist real fast. Your mileage may vary - maybe not everyone is using this on an OM-1 body with an adapted ZD 150mm f:2 for a winning several pounds package, so maybe on a light tiny combo it will stay put. On my setup though, when I drop the combo to let it hang - the clasp slides and tightens the cuff.

I wouldn't complain about this typically, but for a company who literally wrote the book on fancy clasps and locks - nope.
