Near perfect

After reading through a lot of the other reviews, I think I need to be a little more assertive and go for the full five stars. While I will agree that the lip on the front of the case that would protect the screen and default is not particularly large, I still have about a half a millimeter of clearance above my glass screen protector. While I would appreciate a deeper lip, I don’t think people have shopped around for screen protectors well enough if the protector is sticking above the lip. Otherwise, the case has been exceptional for the few months that I’ve had it. I mount it to my PD bicycle mount daily, brought it all over the place from the snow to the beach, from Africa to Japan. And it still looks good as new!

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 17 Pro and was excited to exchange my previous iPhone 15 Pro Peak case for a new one, mainly so I could use the mount on my Peak tripod.
I was quite disappointed in the product as it was much bigger and thicker than I imagined. Little things like it didnt fit in my car charging tray and just felt way too bulky and heavy in my jacket product. So it is now sitting with my tripod for the odd time I need to use the mount and I have a great one from Alcanside. An unsual misfire for this brand....

Slim case that still provides protection

I had an Otter Box for this phone and it was clunky and the buttons on the side of the case were very stiff. The buttons on this case work perfectly.

A Pleasant Surprise

I usually buy leather cases for my phones because I enjoy the tactile feel of real leather. However, good quality leather cases are getting harder to come by, a and I hate the protective plastic cases. In a quandary, I decided to give the GNAR case a try. Not only is the feel great but it is extremely protective, and it allows me to magnetically attach PD's amazing tripod. I highly recommend this phone case!

I’m not sure what people are complaining about. The case is what I expected and I like it. I chose this case because I camp and ride motorcycles often. It’s a good case and the green looks great with my orange iPhone.

I originally ordered the Everyday Case but exchanged it for the Gnar because of good reviews I had read. I’ve already dropped my phone with this case on and it protected it perfectly! I find it easy to hold because of the texture on the sides and I like the smooth back against my hand as I hold the phone. I bought it to attach to my bike handle bars so wanted the extra protection. I don’t mind the weight as my iPhone 17 Pro is heavy anyway and I find the buttons really responsive. In short, I love it!

Much better than previous Gnar case, however wish it still had a bumper around the perimeter of the screen. Clearly can see you’ve tried to keep less bulky which is great but I’ve just dropped my phone and thankfully had a screen protector as it cracked the screen protector due to lack of raised case bumper protection. Also think the dust protection could be more premium and sit flush. I’ve removed as was annoying when plugged into USB-C port
