Very disappointed in this case

as an owner of the previous Gnar case, I was very excited about purchasing this one. However, when I put this on, I noticed that my screen protector protruded above the lip of the case. At first, I figured that it would not make a difference however, a short 2 foot drop caused a crack in the screen protector. because of this I don’t believe that this case will provide the type of protection that I am used to from peak design.

Excellent case, so close to perfect

It’s really quite great. With minor tweaks and refinement it would be perfect.
The volume and lock buttons hold out the side rails just ever so slightly, so slightly more allowance on the inside would make them fit a tad better.
The charging port plug is a really nice touch. Love that.
And for a case designed for toughness a slightly more substantial lip over the screen would be appreciated.
Ideally with a notch standing higher that can accommodate a screen protector underneath and wrap over the face of it to create a gapless face side.
Materials and finish feel very premium…
Tiny nitpick would be that the colour of the buttons don’t exactly match that of the camera surround.

Great multi-functional case

I think it's great, haven't had any of the issues in the other reviews. Fits great, no bulging or issues with the sides. The edge/lip is the same height as the Spigen screen protector I added. Works well with the ball mount I've been using for years. I do have an OhSnap spin thing on the back that sits flush with the camera section of the case. I've dropped my phone multiple times while working on cars and haven't had any issues, phone still works great and no cracks.
I'd add pics but I don't have another device to take pictures with. I got the black case with orange accents. My phone is blue, so I got a Cordura skin from Apex Development to help protect that section and it looks way better with that darker multicam black skin

The case is classy and tough

The case is high-quality and works very well. And when integrated with the mounting system for a motorcycle handlebars, it’s one of the best cases I’ve used yet.

Nice case but Slippery and weak Magnet!

Not sure what happened here, but I know Peak will fix it.
The Gnar surface is too slippery and it mars to easily for me.
More than those issues, it doesn’t hold in a standard mag mount. Yikes. Had to return it for an Everyday which is great.

Good looking and it feels premium

Make the camera lip protection better and put a loop on it, then it would be five stars. Can't believe how PD dropped the ball this.

Just bad

I have so many great Peak Design products, but this case is really that bad! After just two weeks of use, my screen protector is completely shattered. As many others have already pointed out here, the front edge is simply far too low and doesn’t protect the display at all. I love the bike mount, but now I have to go back to the competition because the cases are just bad. Please redesign the cases!
