Love my ice maker

Second time around

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is our second/fourth Kitchenaide ice maker (my dad had 2 also). the last one died per the technician due to a “main board” going out. Anyway, we tried a Koolsomething that made the “nugget” ice. Not good for whiskey and NOISEY as all get out. Cheaper but it got sent back. Ordered this one, came in dinged and apparently previously hooked up but I knew how to fix the hookup issue and the ding was on a back corner…no issues. Quiet, good wet ice, good to have it in the kitchen again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Makes ample, well-formed cubes, doing so with much less noise than the machine it replaces. Door accepts a cabinet face, giving a built-in look.

The installation went well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first machine was not installed correctly. The machine moved around then would stop working. Kitchen aid or whirlpool finally sent a new machine after several months of 4 hour phone calls! After correct installation this one seems to be working properly. With a hold on that since it’s only been two months! And the fact that my husband had to secure it better after the installers were finished. Per their instructions. I want to say this ice machine will be great, unfortunately I am holding that review to find out in a few more months if this was really a fix. For now the machine is working well!
