Range is great but Alexa Thinq LG skill is not

Oven and stovetop are great. But I bought this partly because I wanted to control the ovens with Alexa using The Thinq Alexa skill. But LG only designed the skill to work with the lower oven. I cannot control the upper oven. Developers please redesign the Alexa LG skill to control both of ovens not just one.

Hi. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG Range. Your feedback about the ThinQ Alexa skill and how it currently supports only the lower oven gives a clear picture of what you were hoping to do with your range. Insights like yours are incredibly helpful for the teams that continue to refine connected‑home features, and your suggestion about expanding voice control to both ovens is definitely valuable. Superior build compared to my last LG oven.

This lg induction oven was a big upgrade to the previous lg oven that didn’t even last a year, and if you bumped into the knobs you might burn down your house. They solved the knob issue with a 3 step process to turn them on and you can’t change the process to two steps if you don’t have children or pets. The induction top works great with my hex clad pans. I the edge to edge class top is nice and makes the oven look like it’s built into the cabinets. The way they redesigned the oven handles covers the knobs and looks a lot more professional than the old curved handles. The included pizza stone was a great touch. I have used it for homemade and frozen pizzas and they came out crispy on the bottom, and not burned on top. They should include that on all their ovens. I purchased the extended warranty because I was not confident the knobs would not break like the last one did, but the redesign seems to be better protected and the knobs seems sturdier. So far it’s a great purchase, hopefully it last longer than the last one did. The oven capacity is very good for a split oven. I was able to cook 4 racks of ribs at one time in the lower oven with no issues using the 321 method. Cookies cooked with convection setting came out perfect. And the proof function works perfect with dough. It’s a expensive, but it’s worth the price so far.

It’s great to hear how much of an upgrade it’s been—from the improved knob design and sleek edge‑to‑edge glass top to the impressive performance with everything from pizzas to ribs to cookies. Very happy with switching to induction

Very pleased with this dual oven induction range. The power and control over temperature is unmatched compared to electric or gas ranges. Heating is amazingly fast. I can boil a full tea kettle of water in under 2 minutes, compared to 5+ on my old gas range. When you turn off the power, the water stops boiling immediately. The feature set is comprehensive, including air fry, convection bake broil... The upper oven has only basic warm, bake and broil but that is fine. You have total flexibility to have completely different cooking processes going on in both ovens simultaneously. Overall quality is great and no issues so far.
