Excellent but…

I love the open-ear system and this is my second pair of Shokz. I am disappointed in the proprietary charging cord that I now have to keep track of and carry with me.
Light weight for sure. The band is a little long for my head. The right earpiece area pushes on the bone behind my ear. A more flexible plastic may solve this problem. I was hoping the bluetooth connectivity would show battery level, it does not. AFAIK? Aso hoping there was a way to balance the sound. It seems to be coming more from my left side than in the middle.
Needing to constantly pair is unacceptable. The controls are poorly located. After all these years and business, you should have a much better product.
The fit is amazing and the sound quality is amazing. I do think there are some flaws with the headphones. The beeps when increasing volume, especially the warning for maximum volume is harsh and unpleasant. I don't like that the power button is the same as the volume up button. I also don't like that on the right side, the volume/power buttons are on the part that sits behind the ear. While on the left side, the pause button is on the part that sits in front of the year. The headphones don't bounce around, even when I am running which is perfect.
The sound is very good. The fit is okay, there is some slack in the back which makes it difficult to lay on your back and use them. I am still learning the buttons, but am sure once I learn which to push when they will become second nature.
Purchased for listening to podcasts and books around the house and for workouts at gym while on travel. I was concerned that these might be uncomfortable (squeeze my head) or not loud enough to overcome equipment noise at gym. These were comfortable enough for my 2-hour workout and long listens AND I could both hear my family when they wanted my attention and hear my music over the gym noise. I am VERY happy with these.
Bought a pair of these for my husband because the single ear earbud he had been using for years was starting to fall apart, and he wanted headphones that would allow him to maintain situational awareness while running outdoors. He was born deaf and after many ear surgeries, he is left hard of hearing with ears that are often too small to support most headphones comfortably. I'm happy to report that these fit perfectly, and he hardly notices he is wearing them. The sound quality is great, and he actually doesn't have to max out the volume in order to listen with them like he does other headphones! He was still able to have a conversation with me as well, so he could still hear everything around him. I'll probably be getting a pair for myself to wear on my own runs at this rate. Great headphones!
