These ear phones are great! I bought them for my 31 yr. old son who has Down Syndrome. Since Covid he has developed a sensitivity to noise. This has developed into behavior issues. He had become dependent on his sound proof headphones. His audiologist explained how this made his sensitivity worse. She recommended these Shokz. She explained he slowly needs to get used to noise in his environment in order to handle this. That’s exactly what is happening! He can listen to his music which keeps him occupied, and also hear the noise going on around him. My husband and I love them too! I know what my husband is getting for Father’s Day!
A friend let me see his and I liked them so I bought OpenRun for me and OpenMove as gift. Both work great. I use OpenRun on walks and bike rides. So far so good.
These work great but they contain BPA . There’s a warning on the box that they contain bpa. Water bottles and most plastics manufacturers these days go out of their way to tell you that their product does not contain BPA. I don’t like the fact that something containing BPA is touching my skin especially since I’ll be sweating and hot.
Had a pair of old AfterShokz for years finally stop working. Got a new OpenRun pair to replace them. Great replacement, a bit lighter and nicer than the old ones. While I do like the magnetic charger, I kind of wish I didn't need to pack a proprietary charger for trips, the old mini USB were less fancy, but easy to replace. But, that's a minor quibble, overall they're even better than the old ones.
