Good battery time, great audio, and a truly Amazing life-hack/upgrade!

As an on site (traveling) field technician that repairs electronic equipment I need to make/take calls, and(or) orate while on the move every day. When I have an 8 hour day, and 7 hours of travel time, you bet I need to do it on the go, and connected as well! This genius invention was an absolute game-changer. I can hear traffic, moving warehouse equipment, and the person standing next to me asking when the repair will be done!!!! With this incredible unit, I can hold several conversations at once, even in noisy environments. First con: These are not for music audiophiles or musicians. They are best in the hands of our essential workers that want safety, connectivity, and comfort whilst at work! Heck, if the coal miners union had these, they could overtake crude oil and LNG in a month! (no lie) The other cons: The audio isn't very loud, but it is almost always comprehensible. Unless you're trying to hear a soft spoken woman while a trucker blows his horns , you WILL be able to hear it, but comprehension may be after a respectful "once again?". I would recommend this item for everyone that needs to connect, move, and create simultaneously. This item literally changed my life, and I hope you can find a niche for it in yours. I haven't needed the warranty, as awesome as it is, because I charge my ears from a pc. Not a wall-charger from your latest power-hungry waste of space. (sorry, Apple junk irritates the engineer in me)

Great headset. GREAT company!

I admit I have also had a failure with my aeroplex headset. I have bought numerous ones. I’m thinking 7 total. 6 regular and one of the swimming versions. All of them are amazing but one stopped charging fully. The company sent a new pair in no time as they were still in warranty. I’m telling you I wouldn’t hesitate buying more and did for a Christmas gift this year for my sister.

Best headset for exercise and office
on January 3, 2022

I purchased the Aeroplex headset in August 2021 and used them daily for my workouts, office job and then took them to Kauai in Oct and used them daily on long hot sweaty hikes, runs and at the beach. WOW, they never let me down and still today, Jan 3, 2022, they are my best bluetooth investment ever. I even wear them during my ice skating training. ( I am an ice hockey official). I actually forget they are on they are so darn comfortable. I love it when I am running that I can hear traffic behind me as I approach intersections. A big safety thing for me. Also when I am shopping, I have no issue hearing the clerks or other customers while still listening to music, or on a call and the ability to dictate TM's or email replies hands free is very impressive. I have turned several of my coworkers, officials and family members onto the Aftershokz products. Look forward to more new products to enhance the experience of these headphones.

Over 10 years of bone conduction
on January 3, 2022

I've owned almost every Aftershokz wireless product (excluding xtrainer and opencomms) as well as several other products over the years. Aftershokz started getting Good when they came out with the Air (sound and comfort balance). The Aeropex is the best for real outdoors/sports (extreme) people but the Open-Air/Openmove is the most comfortable and what I have recommended for many people.
The Bluetooth works well on this product; both range and quality.
I've had few people complain about the mic quality.
The sound quality is good but if your an audiophile the sound will not be good enough (fact of life with bone conduction).
In the two years now I've had this model I've done two RMAs. The first was due to an electronics failure (unit stopped functioning). The second was just recently and due to the right side speaker coming loose in the pod/unit it is contained in, this caused a rattling/crackling noise.
I've worked with support multiple times over the years and they do stand behind their products. I do recommend them to people and do have confidence if there is an issue Aftershokz will take care of their customers.
Understanding all this I do recommend the (now) Openrun and (now) Openmove to people that I feel bone conduction is a good fit for.

Over 9 months of everyday use. Really awesome for my any weather running & cycling, phone calls. Not that much comfortable if on back or lateral. Listening for audio books while walking (maximum volume may be not enough only if extremely noisy vehicles passing by). Can't wear non stop over 3-4 hours, but it's ok to keep them on neck and no lose is more important than feeling some pressure after another hour.
Play/pause is fine, but can't reply or end up call with button on android phone.
I love them for safe listening, lightweight, resistance & already recommended for those who don't need high res or that high quality sound.

Failed another hearing test…
on January 3, 2022

I borrowed a set of these from a coworker after he heard that my hearing had deteriorated. Ear drum was ruptured and bone damaged and surgery scheduled but sitting in a cubicle was no fun…
I put these on and oh my God I could actually make out detail in the music I love and actually could hear in stereo again!! Also found an app that just piped sounds from my phone mic back into the earphones, I feel like I’m some kind of super human! Sounds all around me!

Awesome!

Best headphones I have ever owned and I have tried all brands from Beats to Samsung. I really like not having to shove anything into my ear or have something irritating my ears. The sound quality is great and louder if you use earplugs. These are not going to give you a lot of bass but there is enough when you plug your ears. I also like being able to be aware of my surroundings.

Great choice
on January 3, 2022

I have owned two pairs of OpenRun formerly Aeropex for over a year, a grey and a white set. They are a great choice because I can hear my surroundings, during phone calls they are loud enough to hear people talking to me and they can hear me clearly, they are water and sweat proof, when you put in earplugs they sound amazing and nothing else isolates sound better and let’s you listen to movies or music or whatever (you can run lawn mover and have hearing protection (the ear plugs) and still perfectly hear your phone ring or just listen to music), the charge holds WAY better than my wife’s air pods, the warranty is solid (I had a warranty issue that I’ll explain later), customer service is great (at least my experience with them was), and as an added bonus, face masks hook nicely on these which take the pressure off your ear. On the down side, if you pull them off like a moron and let them pop hard against each other you will eventually break them. Probably 99% of broken ones are because the user is careless and lets them snap together and the ear pieces hit each other which jars the electronics inside. Also, people will look at you trying to figure out what is on your head. They can pair to two devices like phone and laptop which is nice for making calls then video conferencing but it is not nice when you walk away from one device because it will beep every minute letting you know you are out of range. I wish there was a way to stop that beep. Also, lying in bed with these is not as easy as other ear buds but it IS doable by rotating them up. Another bonus I forgot is that they quickly, easily, and comfortably can be moved from your head to around your neck so you don’t lose them, so they are not easily lost. Finally, they do feel a little funny at first when the vibrations tingle, but that goes away when you find the right volume and get used to it. I forgot to mention that the magnetic charging feature is very nice and it comes with two cables. In the end, I wear either the grey pair or the white pair ALL day while I repair linear accelerators and talk to support engineers and customers, and I think they are a great choice.
I had a failure, called customer service, provided proof of purchase, and they sent me a new pair. They did ask me to try a few steps before approving it, but they weren’t too hard. I was impressed with the warranty coverage and service I got.
