Great Sound But Clunky
on April 28, 2024

This was an "upgrade" for me from the OpenMove model. I loved the OpenMove but they cracked on me after 2.5 years. I went up and have loved the upgrade in sound quality but there are some downsides so far. Connecting to known devices is not as seamless as the OpenMove. I sometimes have to connect and disconnect up to three times for my devices to connect all components. This wasn't the case with the OpenMove model. I'm a fan but I'd like to see improvement, still.

New design not as easy

Mine drops a lot. Playing music is ok but I don’t like new design-have to reread directions and sometimes sound drops and I am unable to receive alerts that I got a text? I suspect something is wrong w the pair I received.

Great headphones

The Open Run are an excellent pair of headphones. As you'll probably read in most reviews about bone conduction headphones, the bass could be a little stronger in these, but unless you're super into having a lot of bass, these should be just fine. I bought the Mini version, which is nice to have because it fits my head a little better and I have less band sticking out the back. Overall, excellent sound and battery life. My one wish is that there was some way to keep them in position better, because Iv noticed sound quality is better when they're closer to my ear, but they keep wanting to slide forward.

Way better than in the ear type.

I bought these because I dislike in the ear type headphones. The in-the-ear type are always falling out and I could never get a good fit. The sound with SHOKZ is very good. My two suggestions for improvement would be both solved with an adjustable head band or if I had a bigger head. SHOKZ needs a little more tension at the contact points and a more snug band around the back of my head. I hear calls and music fine but if I hold them slightly more snug, they sound even better. When I lean back against a chair, the offset band is annoying but bearable. Still, I wouldn't give them up because they are way better than in the ear.

No regrets at all, these were everything I wanted. It took a little getting used to because the band sticks out a little in the back, so it sometimes makes my hair lay weird, but absolutely worth the quality! If I wear them for multiple hours in a row they start to give me a little bit of a headache but still completely happy with them. Easy controls, great sound!
