Lost my old Aeropex and ordered replacements because these are so amazing, but the new voice is so annoying to me and sounds like a child/adolescents voice instead of a soothing sort of robotic voice. Really not a fan of the new voice.
I have the OpenRun Mini. I am really enjoying the long battery life and ability to hear while still listening to my favorite podcasts or music. Yes sound quality is slightly lower than in ear buds or over the ear cups, however I think this is a perfectly acceptable trade off to be able to hear ambient noise around myself. It makes my whole running experience safer as I typically run around area with intersections and some traffic.
Both of us enjoy retirement as we pass each other throughout the day each happily engaged in our own music or book or podcast, not having to hear whatever the other is playing. It’s ideal!!
I wish the volume would have the ability to be louder. Sometimes it is not loud enough possibly my hearing isn’t as sharp as it was when I was in my 40s now being on my 60th year:-)!
I got these because a lot of my coworkers are using them at work while being able to use earplugs. I got them and tried them on. You can hear it clear but it’s super low the volume has to go up a lot. The functionality of them are the best and they stay on ear when running or do any workout activities. I gave them a 4 star but mainly because of the low sound. Price is a bit high for the sound quality and low
If I’m listening to something streaming they’re amazing but using them for hands free driving - they don’t immediately “wake up” when I am listening to driving directions. If there’s a pause of several minutes I miss the beginning of the instructions. That’s important when it’s turn right or left and I just get the “…in 50 feet” part.
