A must product for a blind user. There are minor differences from the previously owned After Shokz Titanium model and the OpenRun Mini.
The OpenRun Mini is lighter, smaller, and has softer outer material, which is a big plus. The battery life is slightly less, but acceptable. Some Control Features are not in the same positions as the Titanium Mini, this was only a minor learning curve. All-in-All a better product.
I cannot not wear anything that goes in the ear without pain. These make it possible for me to listen to music. It is an added benefit that I can answer my phone through these. I highly recommend them. I consider myself average size and the minis were a better fit the the larger size.
These are replacements for my Aftershokz Air, which finally wore out after heavy daily use. I like the option of a smaller size as the mini fits my head so much better than the one-size Air. Range is terrific. Better than the Air. I can walk in a closet across the apartment from location of phone and have perfect reception. The on-off-charged (blue-red) signal is located on the side, which isn’t as convenient as it is on the Air, which is located on the base next to the charging plug. That’s the one change I’d suggest for the next version of these headsets.
I have used these during cycling activities on open roads and they function as expected. Wind noise can drown out music and phone call audibles. Point to note: if the speaker portion was angled a degree or two toward the Tragus of the ear, sound and volume would be much more prominent at lower settings. I have tested this by using my fingers to do so as music is playing or on a phone call. Overall, good product.
I have to keep my shokz up full blast to hear my audio book when there is any traffic going by. I'm not sure if they just aren't fitting right, or what. I did buy the mini but I'm still not sure if they fit completely right. Overall, they are ok, the sound is pretty good so long as there is no external noise.
These headphones were great for a couple of months. I got my first pair for christmas and used them over winter break. After break was over, they would'nt turn on. Ok, must be dead just charge them right? They would'nt charge at all, plugged them into different outlets different blocks bought a new charging cable. Nothing. Brought them back and got a new pair of a different model. Same thing, only now i haven't fully reached the point where they need to be replaced, they just last for less and less time every week. Used to last all day at school, now they last less than half and i got them a month ago. Very disappointed is an understatement.
